Nicole Meyer PhD
Project Geologist
Nicole received her BSc (Honours Geochemistry) and MSc (Chemical Engineering) from the University of Cape Town (South Africa) before moving to Canada and receiving her PhD from the University of Alberta. During her career, she has capitalized on a wide range of scientific disciplines that range from the understanding of the deepest parts of the Earth through time, to utilizing mine waste to control anthropogenically produced CO2 via carbon sequestration. She has over 10 years’ experience in a range of geochemical procedures and rock types, with a focus on mineralogy and minerals for green technologies such as lithium and REEs. Her passion for geochemistry and mineralogy has given her access to many types of economic deposits in South Africa, Canada, and Zambia. Nicole joined APEX in 2021 and has largely been involved with REE exploration at the Wicheeda project.
