Tara Gunson BSc, P.Geo.
Senior Geologist
Tara received her BSc (Specialization Geology) from the University of Alberta in 2005 and began working full time for APEX Geoscience Ltd. (APEX) in February of 2006 after spending two summers with APEX as a student. Tara obtained her Professional Geoscientist designation (P.Geo.) from the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) in 2014. In the over 18 years of working with APEX Tara’s experience has included field and office work on projects across Canada and internationally, which range from grass roots to advanced stage mining operations. Tara’s technical experience includes exploration for diamond bearing kimberlites, Archean gold deposits, porphyry copper-gold and molybdenum systems, Manto style skarn deposits as well as oils sands exploration drilling supervision. Most recently Tara’s role has evolved into logistics, and tenure and permitting management.
